  1. If you are pregnant, wait until the beginning of the second trimester to measure yourself for a nursing bra. 
  2. If you are a breastfeeding mum, measure yourself when your breasts are the fullest. This usually means during the daytime before feeding the baby. 
  3. Stand in front of the mirror wearing a regular non-padded bra. Measure the under bust – this is the area just below the bust around which the bra band goes. 
  4. Measure around the fullest part of your bust. 
  5. Using the measurement obtained from points #3 and #4 above, refer to the size chart of your favorite brand for nursing bras. 
  6. While measuring, make sure the measuring tape is flat against your skin and parallel to the ground. 
  7. The nursing bra you wear should neither be too tight nor too loose. You should be able to stick two fingers under the shoulder straps and the under band without it feeling too tight.
